Memorial Wireless Radio operatos 1940-1945.
Begin 1942 word uit engeland gedropte spion HUUB LAUWERS opgepakt en gedwongen
naar engeland valse berichten te versturen. Dit werd het begin van het ENGLANDSPIEL tussen
Duitse abwehr en de Britse geheimedienst.
LAUWERS gebruikte voortdurend een geheim security check om te laten weten dat hij was
gearresteerd. Toch bleef engeland agenten droppen .Die kort daarop werden opgepakt..
Eind 1943 kwam daar een eind aan.

Tijdens de tweede wereldoorlog was er een kleine groep goed opgeleiden spionnen
in het door duitsland bezetten gebieden aktief.
Hun doel was informatie te verkrijgen over de duitse bezettingsmacht.
Daarnaast was het de verbindingschakel van het verzet naar vooral de engelse inlichtingdienst.Een
spionagegroep bestond meestal uit een ORGANISATOR, een KOERIER,en een WIRELESS
RADIO OPERATOR. De wireless radio-operator verzond zijn berichten via de kortegolf op
verschillende frequenties.De morsen signalen welke niet langer mocht duren dan 5 minuten werd in
Londen door speciaal getrainde operators uit ge-luisterd.
De werkamheden van de wireless radio-operators was voor onschatbare waarde.
Een speciale SS-eenheid maakte fanatiek jacht op de wireless operators. Slechts weinigen is levend
uit de strijd gekomen.
Om hen te herdenken die voor onze vrijheid moedig hun leven gaven herdenken wij deze helden.
Wij gaan nu over met het afroepen van hun namen. Wij vragen u respect te tonen voor hun helden
moed.
Om 20:00 uur sluiten wij ons aan bij de landelijke herdenking en neem 2 minuten RADIO
STILTE in acht. Wij sluiten de herdenking af met een silence-key morsen boodschap met de
